Welcome to Youth rugby at Cobham for U13 to U18 teams .

Our aim is to provide high quality rugby coaching and a stretching variety of matches for boys from Under 13 to Under 18, always endeavouring to do that with style. We welcome new players and their parents to the club and through good coaching strive to improve their basic rugby skills. This has a significant positive effect on their personal development through leadership within the sport and gives them success in their adolescent life.

We also aim to work with all the local schools that our players attend to ensure a balance in their playing time, always cognisant of their physical as well as mental development. We work closely with the Surrey RFU to make sure that our philosophy dovetails with the county and national plans.

Over the last three seasons we have enjoyed great success winning seven Surrey County titles and a National Under 17 competition. In addition many of our players have received recognition by representing both their school and Cobham at County level and at National level too. We are naturally proud of these achievements, but are equally proud of developing B team players into successful young men in the A team.

Cobham is also a very sociable club and we enjoy great support and assistance from our parents, may of whom volunteer to help as coaches, team managers, first aiders or administrators. However we don’t solely rely on parents and often bring in senior coaches from local Premiership or First Division teams to focus on specific areas of development.

All this comes at a price and we are delighted to enter our third year of sponsorship support from Nando’s who not only provide fantastic peri-peri chicken on Sundays but are also wonderful supporters of all Youth rugby at Cobham.

If you would like to join a growing and developing club with a vibrant youth section please come and join us. We usually train between 12-2 on a Sunday but it’s always best to drop us an email beforehand to confirm what is going on in our busy schedule. To visiting teams, again, you are most welcome at Cobham and we look forward to hard rugby and a good chat and some liquid refreshment afterwards.
