As if the U15 Tour to SA needed further endorsement, Rob Andrew (an old mucker of Neil McCallum's) has added his comments in this letter.

Just look who's been spreading the word that Cobham U15's are off to tour South Africa - even in the Maldives they now know - as long they can read his rubber bracelet under 22 metres of the Indian Ocean...
Thanks Matt!

12th February
Spring is almost in the air. Then it's summer and then we're off.
Latest numbers are 32 players. Games are being deliberated over at the moment - we hope to have news on that shortly. The relationships with our charities are developing nicely - see updated words on Starfish for instance.
The Cook Book remains a great success - all you now need to do is get the money back to Liz Thurston so we can account for it all. A few more events atre planned - see Fund Raising Events on the left for an update.
More when we have it.

5th December
A short update on what's going on. We have 30 confirmed players so we're now seeking 8 games not the original 6. It's summer in SA so very little is getting done about fixtures but Edwin Doran Sports Travel are on the case on our behalf. They've been well briefed.
Fund raising is going well. The U15 Cook Book is being printed and should be with us shortly. In the words of Flynnie's mum:
I am very impressed - I intend to give all the family a copy for xmas!
(oops - now Flynnie knows what he's getting from Santa)
The opportunity for the players to design a shirt has been emailed round - entries by 21st December to Roy please.
We've also had some wonderful endorsements for the tour from England Head Coach Brian Ashton (click here) and 118 cap winner Jason Leonard (click here). If these don't inspire you boys, nothing will!
In the New Year we will be producing the Tour Programme - the dynamic duo Gazz and Garry are on the case - and they'll shortly be on your case for with advertising opportunities. Saying no is not an option.
More later...

This is going to be a cracking Tour. A challenge for the team both on and off the pitch and a huge educational experience as we take on a wide variety of the best of South African rugby - from a township team through to the best public schools' rugby that SA can provide.
